The holidays can be such a magical time, but also super stressful. After the craziness has subsided, the house guests have left, and the decorations have been taken down, you may be saying to yourself, “I need a vacation”. We’ve rounded up our favorite places to relax and decompress stateside, especially after the holidays.

#1 Scottsdale, Arizona

Arizona is one of our all-time favorite destinations to recharge. It is home to some of the best spas in the world! A relaxing facial, invigorating deep-tissue massage, cleansing steam in the steam room or all of the above, Scottsdale has a spa for you. Our favorite hotel is The Saguro. The decor is funky, the pool is amazing, and the cocktails flow freely. Up for a hike? Why not take a day trip to Sedona? It has some of the best trails and boasts incredible views. Pick up some crystals while your there to bring a little zen back with you.

#2 Santa Barbara, California

Santa Barbara is the perfect getaway for some much needed R & R. We are obsessed with the Hotel Belmond El Encanto. It is totally secluded and perched high up in the hills with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. It manages to be glamorous yet totally relaxed. The rooms are understated, yet elegant, and so cozy. It has a beautiful pool, amazing spa, and an unreal restaurant. You never even have to leave…and trust me, you won’t want to!

#3 The Catskills, New York

Need a quick getaway and live in NYC? The Catskills is just the place. It’s a short car ride away into a calming, tranquil environment. We love the Debruce Hotel. It’s a beautiful property that has a very cozy, homey feel. There are no televisions and several fireplaces to start that book you have been meaning to read. They also have an amazing chef. Breakfasts and dinners are included in your room stay. Also, one of those dinners is a 9 course tasting menu that does not disappoint. You will definitely see some deer and treat yourself to a relax massage at their spa at their sister property – The Arnold.

#4 Islamorada, Florida Keys

The Keys get a bad wrap, mostly because of Key West, infamously known for being party central. However, Islamorada is a sleepy village known for it’s stunning coral reefs. We recommend staying at Pines and Palms. Book one of the cottages for a more private experience. Enjoy fishing, laying by the pool or ocean, taking a yoga class, sipping drinks at the pool side Tiki bar, or strolling through the properties acres of tropical beauty. Now that’s a vacation.

#5 Lenox, Massachusetts

Enjoy the beauty of the Berkshires while immersing yourself in total wellness. Stay at Canyon Ranch to enjoy a variety of soul soothing activities with a side of New England charm. Start your day with a yoga class, next indulge in a treatment from their spa, and then enjoy a healthy lunch from one of their delightful restaurants. End the day with a with a canoe ride into the sunset. Sigh….sounds magical and oh-so relaxing.
